Whenever she’s in town, Isabel visits the Arnhem The Label stall at the Byron Bay Markets, and picks up several dresses. Arnhem The Label is a Byron Bay based label created by Arnhem Bickley. Arnhem photographed Isabel at her stall in September 2011, with Isabel wearing her Ever After Dress In Talia Wild Flower. With the hippy, 70′s style and patterns of Arnhem’s dresses, it’s easy to see why Isabel loves them!
Find out more about Arnhem The Label at their official website, arnhemthelabel.com, as well as information on shops that stock the label, and buying her clothes online. I loved browsing her Lookbook, and seeing how many of her dresses are available in the same style but with different patterns. You can connect with Arnhem The Label on Facebook, and send them an email if you have any queries.

Chicks Of A Feather creator and designer Vera Black met Isabel when they were working on The Waiting City together (Vera wrote a song for the film), and a few years later after seeing the feathers Vera had made for Angus and Julia Stone, Isabel asked her if she would create some feathers for her. Vera really liked the feathers she made for Isabel, and has said that she thinks Isabel wears feathers better than anyone else.
After making feathers for Angus & Julia Stone, Isabel Lucas asked if I would mind making her some pieces….here are some photos of the collection I made especially for her. In my opinion, no one could wear feathers better than she can.
You can see the feather collection Vera designed for Isabel at her Facebook page.
Chicks Of A Feather was founded in 2011, by singer/songwriter Vera Black. Vera uses feathers in many different ways, including on hair pieces, feather hair extensions, feather jewellery, earrings, head bands & hats. The “bohemian style” of feathers is inspired by “the likes of Johnny Depp, Stevie Nicks, nature, music, peace, Native Americans and birds themselves.” Find out more about Chicks Of A Feather on their Facebook page.
Isabel has sat front row at several Calvin Klein fashion shows in the past couple of years. She was one of several celebrities front row at the Fall 2010 show during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in February 2010, and again later in the year at the Spring/Summer 2011 show during the 2nd Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. She was also invited to the after parties for both shows, as well as a Calvin Klein Fashion’s Night Out event in 2010. At these events, Isabel sported a range of different CK numbers, including a fitted casual white dress at the Fall 2010 After Party, a sleek figure-hugging orange-brown creation at the Spring/Summer 2011 Dinner, and a crisp green dress for the Spring/Summer 2011 show. She was snapped alongside CK creative director Francisco Costa at most of these events. Following the Spring 2011 show, Isabel said of the collection “They chose very angelic models. And the clothes, especially the cream and the lighter-coloured dresses, were so goddess-like and very feminine.”
Probably the designer Isabel has worn most during her few years in Hollywood – and she couldn’t have chosen a more classic label! But while Chanel may be known for it’s classic, timeless pieces, Isabel has, in keeping with her individual sense of style, found some of their more unique pieces to wear to fit her personality. She wore a brown hippie dress to the Chanel Pre-Oscar Party in 2011, a colourful, 70′s style floor length dress to a 2010 Golden Globes After Party, a short and sparkly dress to the Transformers 2 LA premiere, an elegant white below-the-knee gown to the Chanel Paris Fashion Week Show in 2009, and a black and gold mini-dress at the 2009 Scream Awards.
Not only does Isabel love Chanel, but it seems the label’s head designer and creative director Karl Lagerfeld, one of the most recognisable and influential faces in fashion, loves Isabel too! Rumours went round in June 2009 that Lagerfeld himself invited Isabel to sit front row at his Chanel Haute Couture Autumn/Winter 2009 show during Paris Fashion Week in July of that year. Whether those rumours of a personal invitation were true or not, come July 7th Isabel and her sister Nina were front row at the show – both wearing Chanel – and posed for pictures with Lagerfeld at the event.
Isabel has worn Louis Vuitton dresses a couple of times, and was the labels guest at the highly prestigious 2011 Costume Institute Gala – a pretty high honour! Accompanied by Geoffroy van Raemdonk, the acting president of Louis Vuitton, Isabel wore a stunning floor length coral gown by the label at the event, and was a real stand out on the red carpet, grabbing the attention of fashion fans and ‘critics’ worldwide. The dress was made of light silk satin, embroidered with coral beads, and had a back train attached to the bottom of the gown and closed with a satin coral bow at the back of the neck. The gown took more than 150 hours of work and over 100 hours of work on the embroidery.
A few months earlier she also wore a unique purple and black creation by LV at the 2010 premiere of Somewhere.
ASOS reported that eco-designer Hannah was one of Isabel’s favourites in her 2011 interview with the magazine.
Sydney designer Lucy Lane Vintage puts her designs together using second-hand vintage fabrics. Knowing Isabel’s love of vintage pieces, local labels and working to make a sustainable environment, it’s clear why LLV is a favourite! Isabel famously stepped out wearing one of LLV’s lace tops at Coachella in 2011, and has also been spotted wearing their pieces out and about running errands.
